GOD SEED Announces Debut Album
God Seed, the band comprising ex-Gorgoroth members King and Gaahl will release their debut full length album this October. Entitled I Begin, the album will be released on October 30 in Europe and October 23 in North America via Indie Recordings. The album was recorded between the fall of 2009 and May 2012. The lineup of the band is as follows:
- Tom Cato Visnes (a.k.a. King) (TEMPLE OF THE BLACK MOON, OV HELL, GORGOROTH) – Bass
- Kristian Espedal (a.k.a. Gaahl) (GORGOROTH, TRELLDOM, WARDRUNA) – Vocals
- Stian “Sir” Kårstad (TRELLDOM, DJERV) – Guitar
- Kenneth Kapstad (MOTORPSYCHO) – Drums
- Geir Bratland (DIMMU BORGIR) – Keyboards, Noise
- Lust Kilman (THE BATALLION, GRIMFIST) – Guitar
Comments King, “GOD SEED represents a more spiritual side to us than what GORGOROTH did. GOD SEED represents the will to grow; the will to be the super man, so to speak. I think it’s a suitable name for what we will represent in the future. I am also aware of the fact that we use the word ‘God’ in the name. It will challenge the weak-minded in the respect that we in the past used the word Satan a lot, but it’s all about the same thing. The God within man, and the God within nature. I never believed in a Christian force named Satan. I believe in the God within man.”
MOTÖRHEAD to Release “Live To Win” Book
“Motörhead: Live To Win”, a book chronicling the nearly forty-year career of Motörhead will be released August 28 via Cleopatra. The book will contain an in-depth story about Motörhead with previously unreleased facts and photos, and is endorsed by Lemmy Kilmister.
The official book description is as follows: “The book starts in those early days in the 1970s, when the rocky start and personal struggles of the band threatened to keep it on the ground. But with Lemmy’s focus and gutsy determination, the late part of the decade showed success in the U.K. The MOTÖRHEAD world domination of the 1980s and 1990s, including the release of ‘Aces Of Spades’, ‘Bastards’ and more, is chronicled with stories from nearly twenty years of heavy touring with everyone from DIO to OZZY OSBOURNE. The book concludes present day, with Lemmy cemented as a rock icon beside long-time bandmates Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee, and still driving that MOTÖRHEAD train in music history.”
