TEMPLE OF BAAL streaming entire new album

Hailing from France, blackened death metallers TEMPLE OF BAAL are about to release their brand new offering, “Verses Of Fire”. While the album will hit the shelves on October 29th in Europe and November 12th in North America, it can already be streamed in its entirety at VS-Webzine::

“Verses Of Fire’s” sound has been carefully manufactured by Andrew Guillotin in Hybreed Studios. Focusing on a more organic side thanks to the use of tube amps and natural drums, the production allows the natural old-school feeling of the band to shine through the whole album. Through ten tracks – lasting about an hour – TEMPLE OF BAAL explores a wide spectre of extreme metal: from raging blast beats and thrashing riffs, through haunted mid tempo vibes, and up to the point of band’s primal influence – the sinister sounds of early 90’s black/death metal.

New material will be available in digipack CDlimited double LP and extra limited gold LP (66 copies only).

Fans of the band can expect a fine blend between “Lightslaying Rituals” (sophomore release, 2009) aggression and the last split CD: ”The Vision Of Fading Mankind”‘s (2011) epic atmospheres.

Track-list:

1. το αστέρι 418

2. Bloodangel

3. Arcana Silentium

4. The 10th Aethyr

5. Gates Of Death

6. Gnosis Of Fire

ANGRA: ‘Angels Cry’ Performance Clip From ‘Angels Cry 20th Anniversary Tour’ DVD

Reposted from Blabbermouth.net

Brazilian melodic metallers ANGRA celebrated the 20th anniversary of the release of their 1993 debut album, “Angels Cry”, with a special concert on August 25 at HSBC Brasil in São Paulo, Brazil.

As a means of celebrating its successful trajectory, the band took the opportunity to schedule a small tour through Brazil and Latin America, which culminated with the show in São Paulo, after 11 dates. If there was any aura of uncertainty towards the future, ANGRA shook it off for good with a very special concert, truly a night to remember. As guitar player Rafael Bittencourt put it, “For those who think we should quit, I tell you: we’re just getting started”. That pretty much summons up the very apparent joy that the band showed onstage, not only that night, but on the whole tour.

A stellar team of guests made everything even more special. Tarja Turunen, formerly of NIGHTWISH, lends her talent and angelic voice on two songs: “Stand Away” and Kate Bush‘s “Wuthering Heights”. On the latter, the legendary Uli Jon Roth (SCORPIONS) is also featured, and shows why he is such a reference for the majority of guitar players around the world. The Brazilian string quartet FAMILIA LIMA appears in three songs, and drummer Amilcar Christopharo, from the band TORTURE SQUAD, grabs the sticks on “Evil Warning”, representing the metal bands from Brazil.

“Angels Cry 20th Anniversary Tour” will be released as a separate DVD and a double CD, containing over 20 tracks in total and extra behind-the-scenes footage captured during the latest tour.

A performance clip of “Angels Cry”, taken from “Angels Cry 20th Anniversary Tour”, can be seen at this location.

Former ANGRA singer André Matos celebrated the 20th anniversary of “Angels Cry” by performing the LP in its entirety on his recent solo tour, which kicked off in March. The show consisted of two parts, with the first part focusing on the material André wrote and recorded with SHAMAN and VIPER, as well as during his solo career.

ANGRA tapped acclaimed Italian vocalist Fabio Lione (VISION DIVINERHAPSODY OF FIREKAMELOT) to front the band for its most recent live performances, including an appearance aboard 70000 Tons Of Metal, the world’s biggest heavy metal cruise, which sailed on January 28 from Miami, Florida and returned to the real world on February 1.

Singer Eduardo “Edu” Falaschi quit ANGRA in May 2012. He explained in a statement, “There comes a moment in a man’s life when it is necessary to make a radical decision in order to move forward with dignity and renewed energy.”

Falaschi joined ANGRA in 2000 and appeared on the band’s last four studio albums — 2001’s “Rebirth”, 2004’s “Temple Of Shadows”, 2006’s “Aurora Consurgens” and 2010’s “Aqua”.

ANGRA has yet to announce a permanent replacement for Falaschi, who is focusing on ALMAH and other projects.

If there’s one thing the punks and the heshers will agree on in 2013, it’s that TOXIC HOLOCAUST‘s ‘Chemistry Of Consciousness’ is a rager of a record destined to top any worthwhile best of 2013 list. WARBRINGER: Entire ‘IV: Empires Collapse’ Album Available For Streaming

Reposted from Blabbermouth.net

“IV: Empires Collapse”, the fourth studio album from Los Angeles metallers WARBRINGER, can be streamed in its entirety at RevolverMag.com. Due on October 28 in Europe and October 29 in North America via Century Media Records, the studio recording debut for former MANTIC RITUAL members Jeff Potts (guitar) and Ben Mottsman (bass) rounding off WARBRINGER‘s five-piece lineup was recorded with producer Steve Evetts (SEPULTURATHE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLANSUICIDE SILENCE), mixed by Brett Eliason (PEARL JAMHEART) and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (CANNIBAL CORPSEHATEBREEDCONVERGE). The album’s cover artwork, which can be seen below, was designed by Adrienne Rozzi.

WARBRINGER recently filmed a video for “Black Sun, Black Moon” with directorDean Ciocca.

Says WARBRINGER vocalist John Kevill: “We went out to the most desolate stretch of highway we could find out in the Mojave desert. It’s a fitting location for this song, which is a motorin’ heavy metal tune, with a PRIEST highway-rollin’ type feel crossed with the forbidding mysticism of the night!”

He adds: “The director Dean Ciocca is an old friend of ours and a talented filmmaker. He came up with the treatment for the song based off the lyrics. He put a great crew together and we shot all through the night!”

“IV: Empires Collapse” track listing:

01. Horizon
02. The Turning Of The Gears
03. One Dimension
04. Hunter-Seeker
05. Black Sun, Black Moon
06. Scars Remain
07. Dying Light
08. Iron City
09. Leviathan
10. Off With Their Heads!
11. Towers Of The Serpent

Comments WARBRINGER: “The artwork for ‘Empires Collapse’ came about from wanting to take a much more focused and simplistic approach. Previous WARBRINGER album covers are extremely detailed, busy works, so it was a conscious decision to have art that was the antithesis of what we had done before. John Laux came up with the concept, so we had our friend Adrienne Rozzi make up a sketch, which led to us having her follow through with the final piece. It’s incredibly different from what most fans would expect for a WARBRINGER album cover, but we wanted the art to visually reflect the music. The piece reminds me of a tarot card illustration and sets a very cryptic, somber vibe which associates well with the music that ties into the album’s title.”

WARBRINGER is currently on the road in North America with KREATOR and OVERKILL.

ARTILLERY: ‘Wardrum Heartbeat’ Lyric Video Released

Reposted from Blabbermouth.net

The official lyric video for the song “Wardrum Heartbeat” from Danish thrash metal veterans ARTILLERY can be seen at this location. The track comes off the band’s new album, “Legions”, which will be released on November 26 via Metal Blade Records.

ARTILLERY comments: “With the release of ‘Legions’ we feel that we have played our strongest card since the early days of ‘By Inheritance’. With a killer production, some great new songs done by a strong and dedicated lineup, we are looking forward to support ‘Legions’ all the way! We can’t wait to tour and meet the legions of thrashers out there! This album is for you!”

Since the release of its last album, “My Blood”, in 2011 ARTILLERY has played European and South American tours and appeared at several festivals and the Barge To Hell cruise. In 2012 ARTILLERY saw the departure of Carsten N. Nielsen and Søren Adamsen. Two new members were recruited, making Josua Madsen the new drummer and Michael Bastholm Dahl the new singer.

In a recent interview with StageReport.roARTILLERY guitarist Michael Stützer stated about the upcoming CD: “I personally think it’s the best production we ever had on a ARTILLERY album. It’s very raw and heavy.”

He continued: “Our new drummer, Josua [Madsen] and new vocalist, Michael [Bastholm Dahl], really deliver the goods on this album, Josua is an amazing drummer and real nice guy and Michael is the singer in ARTILLERY who is the closest ever to [original ARTLLERY vocalist] Flemming Ronsdorf beside putting a lot of new elements in the band because of his vocal range. He is also writing some great lyrics. So this band is a very complete unit.”

Regarding what qualities they were looking for in a singer following last year’s departure of Søren AdamsenMichael said: “You will never hear ARTILLERY with a growler or a pop singer, but sung vocals with melody and rawness at the same time. Actually, we headhunted Michael from a cover band who played MERCYFUL FATE / KING DIAMOND covers, so we knew he could sing the old ARTILLERY songs very good.”

Comments “Legions” producer Søren Andersen: “If you’re a hardcore ARTILLERY fan, you won´t be disappointed when you hear the forth coming album. Classic ARTILLERY, but with new elements. A new drummer, a new singer, 10 new songs, great lyrics, killer riffs etc…

“We did the album in 3 weeks, without looking back.

“There is so much new energy this time, and the band plays better than ever. One reason: They are touring more than ever.

“This is a real metal band that plays real music for the right reason. They don’t give a damn about the fame, the look or the party… It’s all about the music. That’s how I see them, and that’s the vibe when we are working together.

“The new drummer, Jos, is a monster drummer with feel, swing, attitude and skills. I find that very giving for the band, and he’s a great guy, too. Likewise, Michael fits the band perfectly. His voice is very big and very classic. He has his own perfect spot between Søren and Flemming, and again: great lyrics!

“Hope you’ll enjoy the album as much as I did in the process of the creation!”

“Legions” track listing:

01. Chill My Bones
02. God Feather
03. Legions
04. Wardrum Heartbeat
05. Global Flatline
06. Dies Irae
07. Anno Requiem
08. Enslaved To The Nether
09. Doctor Evil
10. Ethos Of Wrath

ARTILLERY is:

Michael Bastholm Dahl – Vocals
Michael Stützer – Guitar
Morten Stützer – Guitar
Peter Thorslund – Bass
Josua Madsen – Drums

EXODUS Singer’s GENERATION KILL: ‘Vegas’ Lyric Video Released

Reposted from Blabbermouth.net

The official lyric video for the song “Vegas” from GENERATION KILL, the band featuring EXODUS frontman Rob Dukes, can be seen at this location. The track comes off GENERATION KILL‘s sophomore album, “We’re All Gonna Die”, which will be released on November 15 via Nuclear Blast. The CD was produced by Chris “Zeuss” Harris, who has previously worked with SUICIDE SILENCEALL THAT REMAINSSHADOWS FALL and SOULFLY, among others.

Commented Dukes: “I wrote the lyrics to [‘Vegas’] after watching a documentary about meth. It’s a fictional story, but I’m sure it happens every day in reality. When I hear the song, it’s like a little movie in my head.”

“We’re All Gonna Die” track listing:

01. Born To Serve
02. Prophets Of War
03. Self Destruction
04. Friendly Fire
05. Carny Love
06. Vegas
07. There Is No Hope
08. We’re All Gonna Die

Said Dukes: “We called this album ‘We’re All Gonna Die’ because, for the most part, the lyrics are about the darker side of the existence of humans on this planet.

“The album as a whole is so diverse, drawing from our influences that we grew up on.

“We achieved our goal of creating something that we all are so proud of. I personally think this is the strongest vocal performance of my career, and as a band we can’t wait for the hard rock/metal world to hear this album.”

Added Zeuss: “This album is not an EXODUS clone. This is an album of music where five guys got together an explored our own roots of music, the records we grew up listening to and wrote songs paying homage to what we love.”

GENERATION KILL‘s debut album, “Red White And Blood”, was released in September 2011. The CD was recorded at J. Rod Production Studios in New City, New York (where the vocal tracks for EXODUS‘ “Let There Be Blood” and OVERKILL‘s “Ironbound” were previously laid down).

GENERATION KILL is:

Rob Dukes – Vocals
Rob Moschetti – Bass/Backing Vocals
Jason Trenczer – Lead Guitar
