The CD landed at position No. 144 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

SOILWORK: New Song Available For Streaming

Reposted from Blabbermouth.net

“Spectrum Of Eternity”, a brand new song from Swedish metallers SOILWORK, can be streamed in the YouTube clip below. The track, which was premiered earlier tonight (Monday, December 17) on the on the Stockholm, Sweden-based radio station Bandit Rock, comes off the band’s ninth studio album and first dual-disc release, “The Living Infinite”, which will be unleashed on February 27 in Asia (via license to Marquee Records), in Europe on March 1, and in North America on March 5 through Nuclear Blast Records. Produced by Jens Bogren (OPETH, AMON AMARTH, BLOODBATH), the CD features artwork by MNEMIC’s Mircea Eftemie Gabrie.

Commented SOILWORK: “After commissioning some pretty elaborate covers for the last couple of records, we decided to try something more sober and design-oriented for ‘The Living Infinite’. Who better to call than the man who created the iconic ‘Stabbing The Drama’ cover? Mircea Gabriel Eftemie is not only a close friend but also an incredible graphic designer. We’re all stoked about his work which is different from anything SOILWORK has ever done and perfectly suits the elegant oceanic concept of ‘The Living Infinite’. Enjoy, folks!”

Added Mircea: “Seven years ago, I created the artwork for the ‘Stabbing The Drama’ album and I can’t believe how time flies! Here we are, with sexy gray hairs, working with my friends in SOILWORK again. This time, we built the cover around a maritime concept, aiming for something direct and symbolic. I believe we achieved that quite well. From my creative deck, I salute you and say: ‘Long Live The Living Infinite.’”

“The Living Infinite” is as follows:

CD 1

01. Spectrum Of Eternity
02. Memories Confined
03. This Momentary Bliss
04. Tongue
05. The Living Infinite I
06. Let The First Wave Rise
07. Vesta
08. Realm Of The Wasted
09. The Windswept Mercy
10. Whispers And Lights

CD 2

01. Entering Aeons
02. Long Live The Misanthrope
03. Drowning With Silence
04. Antidotes In Passing
05. Leech
06. The Living Infinite II
07. Loyal Shadow
08. Rise Above The Sentiment
09. Parasite Blues
10. Owls Predict, Oracles Stand Guard

“The Living Infinite” features Justin Sullivan — lead singer of the English band NEW MODEL ARMY — as a guest vocalist on the track “The Windswept Mercy” and also marks the recording debut of longtime SOILWORK touring guitarist David Andersson (also of THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA).

SOILWORK’s world tour launches with a 55-show headlining trek through the U.S. and Canada this March. Support will come from JEFF LOOMIS, BLACKGUARD, THE BROWNING and WRETCHED.

Joel Grind’s The YELLOWGOAT Sessions: First Single Unleashed

Gristle up your holiday caroling with “Cross Damnation,” the first single from Joel Grind’s The YELLOWGOAT Sessions offering. Recorded as a Toxic Holocaust return-to-form of sorts (think the Critical Mass demo). The YELLOWGOAT Sessions are raw, unrefined, reverbed out, distorted to hell and violently delicious.

Comments Joel Grind of the release: “I decided to not call this a Toxic Holocaust record for a few reasons. The main one being that Toxic has sort of morphed from being a solo project to now being a full band. That’s not saying you won’t see other ‘solo’ Toxic material, but for right now it’s definitely a solid band. Also, this record is definitely less thrash and more dirty rock ‘n’ roll. Finally, I didn’t want to just slap the Toxic name on it to sell it. I recorded this because I was anxious to record something like this again without over thinking things.”

“Cross Damnation” is currently available as a free download with the optional suggested donation of $1.00, HERE and HERE.

The full album will be released digitally January 15, 2013 with vinyl to follow in late February via Acid Rat Records. You can preview the entire album here:

DEVOURMENT: Title And Cover Art Of Relapse Debut Revealed

DEVOURMENT, one of the most brutal death metal acts on the planet, this week reveals the title and cover art for the outfit’s highly anticipated new album, due early next year via Relapse Records.

The fourth studio full-length from Dallas, Texas-based DEVOURMENT, Conceived In Sewage was recorded at Mana Recordings in St. Petersburg, Florida with legendary death metal icon Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Morbid Angel). The album promises to be their heaviest, most crushing release to date combining DEVOURMENT’s signature, hate-fueled death metal with their notorious, monstrously slamming brutality. In reference to previous releases from the band, Stereokiller has referred to the band as “a pure assault on your auditory senses,” with Teufel’s Tomb stating “DEVOURMENT have a simple goal; to put your teeth on the curb and stomp on your head.”

Conceived In Sewage will see release on February 19th in North America, February 22nd in Benelux, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Finland, and February 25 in the UK and rest of the world. The album’s disgusting NSFW artwork, created by Toshihiro Egawa (Cryptopsy, Defeated Sanity), and the very first auditory punishment from Conceived In Sewage can be acquired right here:
